Murry and Skip, a couple of outdoorsy types, had some ideas about building better gear. Murry told Jan he'd mane they're new backpacking company after her if she married him. She did, and he did and Jansport's been making great packs and shaking up the industry ever since. It's been quite a journey. http://www.jansport.com
A lot has happened since we patented the flexible aluminium frame in 1967.
